What We’re Building & Why
Our Mission: We’re on a mission to build our own cat-friendly van home from the ground up in Vietnam. We want to prove that long-term adventure with pets is not only possible but deeply rewarding, and we’re documenting every step to create the honest, practical guide we wished existed.
Our Current Chapter – Phase Zero: Right now, that means our adventure headquarters is a small apartment in Da Nang. We’re here working, saving, and meticulously planning “Phase Zero”—the essential research, design, and community-building stage before we even buy our van.
Filling a Unique Gap: While you can find van life stories or cat content anywhere, almost no one is documenting the real, start-to-finish journey of building a mobile home for cats in Southeast Asia. That’s the story we’re here to tell, combining our love for travel, building, and our two feline co-pilots with paws, Scout & Ted.
Meet the Crew
👫 Douwe & Huyen –A Dutch-Vietnamese couple planning to trade conventional life for a wheeled adventure. Douwe builds, Huyen creates, and together we document what happens when you choose freedom over furniture.
Our mission is to build, document, and prove that cat-friendly van life in Vietnam is an achievable adventure.
🐱 Scout – The fearless explorer. First to sniff new places, last to admit she’s tired. Her motto: “Any window is a viewing platform if you’re brave enough.”
🐱 Ted – The gentle observer. Prefers sun puddles to mountain tops, but will adventure if snacks are involved. Professional purrer and quality control inspector.
Our combined skills (van conversion + content creation) aren’t just hobbies—they’re our toolkit for building this life from scratch.
