We are Huyen, Douwe, Scout, and Ted—the mapping crew behind the Scoutted Roadmap, a mission to pioneer the definitive guide to van life in Southeast Asia.

Huyen is the soul of this adventure. Born and raised in Vietnam, she provides the invaluable local insight, language, and deep cultural connection that moves us beyond tourism. For her, this journey is about seeing home with new eyes and sharing its hidden corners, from bustling city alleys to quiet mountain villages, with the world. And with our Home on wheels a great way to explore outside of the countries borders.

Douwe is the builder and navigator. After eight years of exploring across Asia, he chose Vietnam as a permanent base, finding the perfect blend of stunning landscapes and vibrant life. His Dutch practicality and love for meticulous planning are focused on one goal: turning the dream of a safe, self-built rolling home into a reality for our entire family.

And then there are our true co-pilots with paws, Scout & Ted. More than just pets, they are our adventure cats and the non-negotiable heart of this project. Their safety, comfort, and happiness are the blueprint for our van. Watching them adapt and explore is a constant reminder that joy is found in the simplest moments, wherever you are.
